AllStar Concrete Coatings was called in to remove a heavy broom finish by grinding and polishing the concrete to a smooth consistent finish. A heavy grind was needed to remove the broom finish texture before diamond polishing the concrete floor to achieve the desired look. The floor was ground from 25 grit through 400 grit diamond polishing steps before a final polish guard sealer was applied.

Polished Concrete Floors Canyon Lake – Project Goals & Outcomes

PEC maintenance contacted AllStar when looking for a polished concrete floor company in the Canyon Lake, TX area.  After reviewing previous successful projects within the same scope, Allstar was hired to complete the polished concrete floors for the electric company. A 900-pound planetary concrete grinder was utilized to quickly and efficiently remove textured concrete finish as prep for the polished concrete floors. After the initial grinding stages, the floors were cleaned and flooded with a concrete densifier, or liquid hardener, before proceeding with the concrete polishing process. The floor was then diamond polished from 50-grit hybrid diamonds up to the 400-grit finish you see in the pics.

• A sealed surface of the finished concrete floors

Once the concrete floor was finished, the owners and management were pleased with the outcome of the project.
